What non-custodial means here
The money for a real-money pot only ever moves between players. You keep your own USDC in your own wallet, and it goes wallet to wallet when a pot settles. To confirm a real-money call, kapiche reads your balance to check you have the funds. That is the extent of it.
Your wallet, your keys
Your Solana wallet is embedded via Privy and controlled by you. You are the only one who can spend from it.

To confirm a real-money call, kapiche reads your USDC balance to check it covers your stake.
Player to player
Stakes stay in your wallet until a pot resolves, then go straight to the winners.
The whole pot
Winners get the full amount the losers owe. kapiche takes no cut.
Peer-to-peer settlement
When a real-money pot resolves, players pay each other directly in USDC. kapiche records who settled so reputation reflects who actually pays, but the payment is wallet-to-wallet between you and your friends.
- You sign everything. You approve any onchain action in your own wallet.
- Settlement is direct. Funds go from the loser straight to the winner. Settling up walks through it.
- We keep the record. kapiche logs the result and whether each side settled, which feeds the Settles up trust score.
Real money is opt-in
You never have to touch real money to use kapiche. Free points are the default and cover the public Discover feed entirely. Real money with friends is something you choose to switch on, and it comes with guardrails.
- 18+. Real-money pots are for adults only.
- Friends-only. Real-money pots are private and live inside a Circle or an invited 1v1 challenge. They never appear in the public feed.
- A referee is required. Every real-money pot needs a chosen referee to resolve the result.
