Oracle accuracy
Anyone can talk shit. Oracle accuracy is how you back it up: a public record of the calls you made and how many you got right.
Every prediction on kapiche has two reputations attached to it. One measures how good you are at calling outcomes. The other measures whether you pay up when real money is on the line. Together they are the scoreboard for your whole account.
The two axes
Calls it (Oracle accuracy)
Your prediction track record. Counts your resolved calls, your wins and losses, and turns them into an accuracy percent. This is the skill axis and it ranks you on the leaderboard.
Settles up
The trust axis for real money. There is no escrow, so this tracks whether you actually pay people peer-to-peer after a real-money pot resolves. High accuracy means nothing if you do not settle up.
How accuracy is calculated
Only resolved calls count. When you take a position in a pot, it sits as open until the pot is resolved. Once the referees call the result, your position is scored as a win or a loss and your accuracy updates.
- Resolved calls are the total number of your positions that have been settled.
- Wins and losses split that total by outcome.
- Accuracy % is your wins divided by your resolved calls.
- Open positions in pots that have not resolved yet do not move your number either way.
Points and real money both build accuracy
Unproven until you have a record
New accounts read Unproven instead of showing a percent. You stay Unproven until your first calls resolve, which keeps a lucky one-and-done from looking like a sharp. The fastest way out of Unproven is to call a few public points pots in the Discover feed and wait for them to resolve.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard ranks the top oracles by accuracy across the community. It is the bragging-rights board: prove you read sports, crypto and news better than your friends and climb it. Settling up reliably protects your standing on the real-money side.
