Are points real money?
No. Everyone gets 500 points on signup plus a free daily drip. Points are for calling public pots and building your reputation. They are never shown with a dollar sign, cannot be purchased, are non-transferable, and have no cash value: they can never be sent to another user, withdrawn, or cashed out.
Where does my money live?
In your own Solana wallet, the whole time. kapiche is non-custodial: you hold your USDC and pay the other players directly. To confirm a real-money call, kapiche reads your balance to check you can cover it.
Does kapiche take a cut of the pot?
No. When a real-money pot resolves, the loser pays the winner the full amount directly, and kapiche records who settled.
How does play work?
Free points are the default: play money you cannot buy, transfer, or cash out, for calling public pots and building your reputation. Real money is a separate, opt-in side: private predictions among friends, paid peer-to-peer in your own USDC.
Do I need a wallet?
Only for real money. You can play the entire public points experience with no wallet at all. A non-custodial wallet is created for you (via Privy) and you only need it once you join a real-money pot.
What is a referee?
A referee is the person chosen to resolve a pot by calling the result. You see who it is before you join. Referees covers how they are picked. Every real-money pot must have one.
How is a pot resolved?
When the outcome is known, the chosen referees call the result and the required number of votes locks it in. Many public pots mirror Polymarket and auto-resolve from the source instead. Once resolved, every position is scored as a win or a loss.
What is Oracle accuracy?
It is your prediction track record: your resolved calls, wins and losses, and an accuracy percent, shown as the Calls it axis on your profile. New users read Unproven until their first calls resolve. See Oracle accuracy.
How does paying out work if there is no escrow?
You settle up peer-to-peer. After a real-money pot resolves, the losing side pays the winning side directly in USDC, wallet to wallet. kapiche records who paid, which builds your Settles up trust score. See Settling up.
Is real money available everywhere?
Real-money pots are 18+ and friends-only. They are always private, shared inside a Circle or an invited 1v1 challenge, and never appear in the public Discover feed. Read more in Real money with friends.
