Real money with friends

When points are not enough, run a private real-money pot with people you know, using your own USDC on Solana.

Real-money pots are private: they live inside a Circle or a direct challenge, shared only with the friends you invite. They never appear in the public Discover feed. Playing for real is 18+.

Your money, your wallet

You and your friends put up your own USDC and pay each other directly when the pot resolves. Your money stays in your own wallet the whole time, and kapiche takes no cut of the pot. kapiche's job is to set the pot, confirm everyone can cover their side, and keep score of who pays up.

Before you start

You need your own wallet with USDC. kapiche sets up a non-custodial Solana wallet for you, and only you can move the funds. Your balance must cover your open commitments plus the new stake to join, or you are prompted to add funds.
You must be 18 or older to play for real.
You need a friend or Circle to play with. Real-money pots are never public.
Real money is not available in every US state. It is currently unavailable to users in Utah, Washington, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Nevada, and may be further restricted by local law. See the Terms. Free points are available more broadly because they have no cash value.

Turning on real money: the gates

The first time you play for real, kapiche runs a few quick checks so pots stay adults-only, private to people you know, and backed by real funds. Each one is free and takes a single tap. If something is missing, you get a clear prompt to fix it, not a dead end.

Confirm you are 18+

Real-money pots are for adults. The first time, you confirm you are 18 or older. It is an account-level attestation, so you are only asked once.

Connect a wallet

Real money settles peer-to-peer, so you need a wallet to be paid into (and to pay from) when a pot resolves. kapiche sets up a non-custodial Solana wallet for you; only you can move the funds.

Cover your commitments

Your wallet must hold enough USDC to cover your open real-money stakes, any unsettled debts, and this new stake. If it is short, you are prompted to add funds. See Covering your commitments below.

Meet the host's reputation bar (if set)

A host can limit a pot to players with a solid settle reputation. If yours is too low, settle your open debts to qualify.

Where real money is not available

Real money is 18+ and currently unavailable to users in Utah, Washington, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Nevada, and may be further restricted by local law. You must not use a VPN or other tool to get around these limits. Free points have no cash value and are available more broadly. See the Terms.

Creating a real-money pot

Start a pot from a Circle, or use Challenge to a money pot from a friend's profile for an express 1v1 that pre-fills the wizard. Real-money pots carry a sky REAL badge and require you to choose a referee to call the result.

Joining and confirming

Connect your wallet and cover it

Your wallet needs enough USDC to cover your open real-money commitments plus this stake. If it is short, you are prompted to add funds before you can join. The money stays in your own wallet.

Pick a side and stake

Choose your side and your USDC stake. This is your own money, shown with a dollar sign.

Confirm explicitly

Real money always asks for a clear confirm: it spells out that this is a real position, settled peer-to-peer, with no escrow.

Settle up after it resolves

Once the referee calls the result, players pay each other directly. See Settling up.

Covering your commitments

Since players pay each other directly, everyone in a pot needs to be good for their side. Before you join any real-money pot, kapiche does a quick, read-only check that your own wallet holds enough USDC to cover everything you are already on the hook for, plus this new stake:

your open real-money stakes (pots you have joined that have not resolved yet),
plus any unsettled debts you still owe from past pots,
plus the stake for this pot.

If your balance is short, you are not blocked for good, you are prompted to add funds first. Your USDC stays in your own wallet, spendable the whole time.

No escrow, no middleman

Nobody holds the pot. When it resolves, players pay each other directly in USDC. See Settling up.

Reputation that follows through

Paying what you owe builds your Settles up score, so people know who is good for it. Ducking debts drags you toward Flaky and can lock you out of pots.

FAQ

Does kapiche hold my money?

No. kapiche is non-custodial. Your USDC stays in your own wallet, and only you can move it. See Security & non-custodial.

Does kapiche take a cut of the pot?

No. kapiche never takes a cut. The whole pot is settled between players.

Can a real-money pot be public?

No. Real-money pots are always private to a Circle or a direct challenge.

Why was I asked to add funds before joining?

Real-money joins require your wallet to cover your open commitments (your open real-money stakes and any debt you still owe) plus the new stake. If your balance is short, you add funds first. It is a read-only check; kapiche never holds or moves your USDC.

Can I be blocked from a real-money pot?

Yes, in two ways. If your wallet cannot cover your commitments plus the stake, you are prompted to add funds first. And if a host limited the pot to players with a solid settle reputation, a low Settle Score keeps you out until you clear your open debts. Both are about trust, not a cut.
